VOTE NO To Double Car Tax

Today’s newsletter has been dedicated to presenting a very important issue facing all Maryland dealers and customers

VOTE NO to the Trade-In Difference Tax Credit Repeal

IT’S UNFAIR

The Trade-In Difference Repeal IS A Tax Increase

As you all know, the Maryland General Assembly is in session. Among many of the items covered is current Trade-In Difference law. This current law allows customers to only pay excise taxes on the difference between the value of their trade-in and the vehicle they are buying.

The General Assembly is proposing a repeal of this law.

That means no matter the value of a customers trade-in, they will always have to pay taxes on the full value of their new vehicle. This is double taxation, and likely to deter consumers from purchasing a new vehicle due to the drastic increase in taxes they will have to pay.

This repeal will affect your profits directly, and It is imperative we fight back together
