Department of Transportation to Receive Much Needed Funding
A package has been proposed to the House and Senate to increase funding to transit projects, education and Shock Trauma and emergency services over the next five years. House Appropriations Chair Ben Barns says goal is “Making sure we have a robust transportation system that can be delivered safely and fast”, while Senate Budget and Taxation Chair Guy Guzzone) states “At the end of the day, I honestly believe that a lot of lives are going to be better off.”

Long Term Effects of the Key Bridge Collapse
As we all know, Baltimore is one of the largest coastal ports in the US, responsible for much of our international imported cargo, including automobiles. The collapse of the Key Bridge has left this port crippled and certainly caused devastation to those directly affected. There is good news, however. While the short term effects of the collapse will best costly, the long term repair is expected to stimulate the Baltimore economy. Auto manufactures have all also stated that there will be very little disruption in their processes, and that vehicle prices will not be effected.
