💐Happy May Day💐

Did you know: May Day was first celebrated in 1886, as an effort to change to 8-hour work days. On May 1st, hundreds of thousands of American workers went on strike, demanding better working conditions and shorter working hours. Whew… Thanks guys.

Instead of going on strike go buy some flowers for your mom!

IT’S A FACT

Keeping your Cars Safe at Home and on the Lot

An unfortunate statistic that has come to light is Maryland and DC’s current standings in vehicle thefts by state. As of the end of last year, Maryland ranks 8th in the country for vehicle theft rate and 2nd, just under Washington, DC, for percent increase. DC and Maryland have seen increases of 64% and 63% respectively from 2022-2023, doubling and some times tripling other state behind them. It is important that you take the proper precautions with your vehicles at home and on the lot to ensure you do not fall victim.

IMPORTANT: If you or your dealership is faced with potential theft or fraud, please contact WANADA (202-237-7200 ) and the MADA (410-269-1710) to report any suspicious activity.

IT’S LEADERSHIP

WTF?

In the automotive world we often find ourselves in situations with nothing left to say but, “WTF?”. This perplexity is often in response to a process or task being executed, well… wrong. Although this reaction to inefficiency may seem like a sign of frustration, these WTF moments usually be turned into Well That’s Fixed scenarios using the right tools.

Nat Bennett from Simpler Machines has found a way to do just that. He accomplishes this by keeping a “WTF Notebook”, tracking and analyzing what it is that causes a WTF reaction, why it is being done that way, and how to fix it.

Click below to check out his unique process. Maybe it is time you start your own WTF Notebook.

IT’S THE O’S

How ‘Bout Them O’s

Let’s go Baltimore! After a few heartbreaking losses against the A’s last week, the Orioles lead 2-0 against the Yankees as we go into tomorrow’s game. This highly anticipated matchup is shaping out well for our O’s as they look very confident out on the field. Catch the 3rd game today at 6:35 pm and watch the Orioles try for a 20-10 record.
